👉 Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): This is for jobs in smaller towns with the Subclass 494 (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa) and Subclass 187 (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme). It’s also rising from $73,150 to $76,515 a year.
Your company has to pay you at least this much or even more if the job usually pays higher, so you can live comfortably in Australia.

Which Visas Are Affected?

These new pay rules apply to some important skilled visas:
👉 Subclass 482 (Skills in Demand Visa): For working in Australia for a few years. It has two parts Core Skills and Specialist Skills with different pay levels.
👉 Subclass 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme Visa): For staying in Australia forever with a job.
