Nova Scotia Nominee Program

You will want to apply to a Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) stream when you are ready to relocate to NS

Prospective immigrants with the skills and expertise required by NS, will be nominated to immigrate on a permanent basis through the NSNP. The nine streams available are listed below:

Theย processing timeย for eligible applications can be three months or more.

Entrepreneur

This stream is for business owners or executives. They must start a new business or buy an existing one and be actively involved in its day-to-day operations. The entrepreneur may be nominated forย PRย after 12 months of business operation.

Main eligibility criteria:

To apply under this stream, you will need to demonstrate the following:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Be at least 21 years old

๐Ÿ‘‰ Live and own a business in NS

๐Ÿ‘‰ Have a net worth of at least CA$600K

๐Ÿ‘‰ Able to invest at least $150K

๐Ÿ‘‰ Have at least 3 yearsโ€™ experience in managing and owning business

๐Ÿ‘‰ Hold at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent

๐Ÿ‘‰ Proficiency in English or French (CLB 5)

International Graduate Entrepreneur

This stream is for recent graduates of the University of Nova Scotia or Nova Scotia Community College. They must have started or acquired a business in Nova Scotia. If graduates intend to settle in Nova Scotia after operating for at least 12 months, they may be nominated forย PR.

To apply under this stream, you will need to demonstrate the following:

This stream is intended for recent international graduates whose skills and education are aligned with a specific job category in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).

As at 30 June 2021, this stream is currently only open to workers in two NOC occupations;

NOC 3413:ย Nurse Aids, Orderlies, and Patient Service Associates

NOC 4214:ย Early Childhood Educators and Assistants

Labour Market Priorities for Physicians

This stream is for healthcare professionals working in one of the two NOC occupations listed below;

NOC 3112:ย General Practitioners and Family Physicians; and

NOC 3111:ย Specialist Physicians

Physician

This stream helps Nova Scotia health authorities recruit and retain skilled healthcare professionals working in two NOC Occupations;

NOC 3112:ย General Practitioners and Family Physicians; and

NOC 3111:ย Specialist Physicians

NOC 0 (zero):ย Management jobs

NOC A:ย Professional jobs that usually require a tertiary degree

NOC B:ย Technical jobs and skilled trades that usually require a diploma or training as an apprentice
